---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Upon uniting a welcome party of nearly 200 people and the joyful gathering of the Four-School Sports meet, we became deeply inspired by the need of agglomeration and association between Taiwanese Students and the positive effectiveness of an organization's existence. Each year, Taiwan sends out 40,000 outstanding students to pursue education in the United States, these students will be the future professionals for leading Taiwan to a more prosperous and powerful broad road. Thus, we are willing to establish and institute in all kinds of activities including leisure and tourism, learning and education, career look out to build up interflows, communications and cooperation.

The North American Taiwanese Students Association (The NATSA) was established in the year of 1983 and was legally registered as a non-profit organization of Taiwanese Student Association in North Carolina. However it has not been active for many years. Upon an agreement with the founder, and the efforts of several enthusiastic establishers and the fellow Taiwanese, The NATSA council has been reestablished this year, and hereby we joyfully announced that the NATSA organization is now reestablished in the year of 2008. The new president of the council has been voted and approved by the council members, through Chung-ping Wang from UNC MBA to serve for the new term.

For the upcoming year, The NATSA will be concentrating on conducting activities as the following:

1) East Coast Taiwanese Students Job Fair

2) Assist in TSA undergraduate sector of Duke University to conduct the Intercollegiate Taiwanese American Association (ITASA) East Coast conference.
